About this Location

The Weir Farm National Historic Site is considered a "National Park for Art". Visit the home and studio of America's most beloved Impressionist, J. Alden Weir, and walk in the footsteps of generations of world-class artists. Set amidst more than 60 acres of painterly woods, fields, and waterways, you’ll soon see why Weir described his home as the "Great Good Place." Weir’s farm is a national legacy to American Impressionism, the creative spirit, and historic preservation.

Park Grounds and parking lot are open daily, sunrise to sunset, year-round. Visit the park on your own using maps, brochures, self guided tours, the National Park Passport Stamp, and Junior Ranger activities located on the porch of the visitor center, or visit virtually by exploring the resources here on the park website.

Dogs: You are welcome to walk your dog at Weir Farm National Historical Park and the Weir Preserve, the 110-acre network of hiking trails directly adjacent to the property, as long as it remains leashed. Please pick up after your pet - a pet waste station is located in the parking lot, at the Weir Pond trailhead, and behind the Burlingham Barn/Restrooms. There are no fees to visit Weir Farm NHP. Parking, special programs, tours, and access to the grounds are free of charge.
