The Sligo Creek Stream Valley Park runs along Sligo Creek and hosts the Sligo Creek Trail. Many smaller parks and amenities line the creek and are hosted by the Stream Valley Park. The acquisition of the land began in the 1930s and continued through the mid-1970s.
