Okanagan Landing is at the tip of a northern arm of Lake Okanagan, which includes the mouth of Vernon Creek.  This area includes a large area of the lake with wetlands along the shoreline.  The area is an attractive part of the City of Vernon and sought after for upmarket housing and recreational development, with adverse impacts on the wetlands.
