Neighboring Queen Creek to the South, San Tan Mountain Regional Park is 10,000+ acres of Sonoran Desert beauty ranging in elevation from about 1,400 feet to over 2,500 feet. Goldmine Mountain rises in the northern portion of the park. Along the trails, vegetation will change from creosote flats to dense saguaro forests. Various types of wildlife may be seen, including reptiles, birds, and mammals.
