About this Location

This series of eleven parks along the Stanislaus River extends from Tuolumne County to San Joaquin County, with nine of those parks located within Stanislaus County. Developed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as mitigation for dams built upstream, these parks are designed to provide public access to the lower Stanislaus River and are sometimes affectionately referred to as the String of Pearls.
