Gould Farm, founded in 1913, is the first residential therapeutic community in the nation dedicated to helping adults with mental health and related challenges move toward recovery and independence through community living, meaningful work, and clinical care.
The Roadside Store and Café is located on MA-23 (275 Main Road) in Monterey, just a stone’s throw away from the Farm. A restaurant and café with seating for 28 customers, the Roadside is open to the public for breakfast and lunch. The menu includes foods and products from our Farm including cheese, homemade granola and yogurt, and our famous pancakes with our own maple syrup.
“Diane’s Trail,” is named in memory of Diane Rausch, late wife of Gould Farm’s longtime Forest Director Bob Rausch. Mainly a wetland trail, this unique habitat is open to the public.
