A meandering trail, extending between Elmira's Main Street Bridge and Lake Street Bridge, provides a variety of views of the Chemung River and access to fountains and public spaces.

Take a stroll through Mark Twain Riverfront Park as it runs through downtown Elmira down Water Street. Stop and grab some lunch in one of the friendly shops across the street and grab a bench for a peaceful lunch. Mark Twain Riverfront Park offers a picturesque place to sit and relax. With its peaceful babbling brook, benches, and view of the Chemung River, Mark Twain Riverfront Park is a great place to spend some time. Riverfront Park is also the location of Music on the Riverfront and other special events throughout the year.

The park runs the length of West Water Street, between North Main Street and Lake Street, in Elmira, and a metered parking space is generally easy to find.
