Heise (pronounced “hice”) Park is the city’s largest park. It is home to the high school football facility, Unckrich Stadium, as well as the public swimming pool. There is also playground equipment, baseball fields, tennis courts, and a sand volleyball court on the grounds. Several shelters are available for public use. The Galion YMCA is just around the corner on Gill Avenue.

There is a walking path and the Olentangy River flows through the park.
