Delaney Woods trails are beginner to intermediate and there are approximately 5 miles of loops. Delaney Woods is part of the conserved Delaney Farm. The newest trail is a connector trail, Bearded Hen, which is located on private land thanks to the generosity of neighboring landowners.

Slate Valley Trails continues to build and maintain free public trails in Castleton, Poultney, and Wells. With almost 40 miles of existing trails, and more than 25 new miles of trail planned for construction, the organization is an up-and-coming trail network in southwestern and central Vermont.
