About this Location

Warren and Ruth Beeken Rivershore Preserve, on Cochran Road, is approximately 35 acres of rare floodplain forest and meadows along the south bank of the Winooski River. The preserve was donated to Richmond Land Trust in 1993 by Carl and Esther Parker. It is named for Warren and Ruth Beeken to honor two devoted friends of Richmond Land Trust. the preserve is home to moose, red fox, beaver, coyote, waterfowl, and many other species. The site includes a canoe and fishing access point, with parking.
