Ballard Pond, Derry

About this Location

Ballard Pond is a reservoir that provides water for the Taylor Mill Historic Site, an old sawmill that dates back to the 18th century. The pond and the mill are part of the Ballard State Forest, 71 acres, donated by Ernest Ballard in 1953. The state forest offers a short and easy hiking trail that follows the pond's shoreline and passes by the mill.
