Birds of Interest

There is a pair of Red-shouldered Hawks that consistently fly close to the trail. Other sightings are many Woodpeckers, Turkey Vultures, Nuthatch, and Mockingbirds as well as Cardinals, Robins, and others.

About this Location

The Green Township Bike and Walk Trail was created in Oct 2018. It was a former CSX train track. It is 13 feet wide and paved. It can be accessed in 3 ways:

  • Hutchinson Road - 8 parking spaces 1 handicap
  • Behind Harrison Green strip center - about 15 to 20 spaces
  • On gravel behind stores and Oakdale School - about 10 to 20 parking spaces
    It is very close to a main west side road, Harrison Avenue, but it is heavily buffered by trees on both sides.
