Forest Dale Cemetery was established in 1884 as the primary civic burial ground for Malden residents. The cemetery covers 61 acres of land and has a pond and a veterans' section. It is adjacent to Pine Banks Park, a natural area shared by Malden and Melrose.

The entrance to Forest Dale Cemetery is on Forest Avenue.
