The trailhead in Stow for the Assabet River Rail Trail is located near the Stow Town Forest Loop and Crow Island.

The Assabet River Rail Trail (ARRT) offers hikers, bicyclists, and other users the opportunity to experience numerous natural resources common to the region. The 12.5-mile trail passes through Marlborough, Hudson, Stow, Maynard, and South Acton in eastern Massachusetts. It begins in Marlborough and finishes in Acton.
