Wallingford Pond is in the Green Mountain National Forest. It is a popular destination for fishing, hiking, and paddle sports, especially in the fall when the leaves change color. The pond covers 87 acres and has a drainage area of 1,470 acres. It is located at an elevation of 2,165 feet and has a few streams flowing into it. The trail to the pond is about 2.2 miles long and moderately easy, but it can be muddy and buggy at times. The pond is also close to Little Rock Pond, another beautiful spot for camping and swimming.
Wallingford Pond (87 acres) is a site for the Vermont LoonWatch annual survey. Birders are encouraged to volunteer as often and whenever they are able. See Join LoonWatch for details.
