Lake Ninevah is a natural lake that was dammed in the 1920s to create a reservoir for hydropower. The lake is surrounded by wetlands and a forest reserve, and most of its shoreline is protected by the Ninevah Foundation, a local land conservancy. Lake Ninevah is a peaceful and secluded place for swimming, fishing, paddling, and wildlife watching.
Lake Ninevah (171 acres) is a site for the Vermont LoonWatch annual survey. Birders are encouraged to volunteer as often and whenever they are able. See Join LoonWatch for details.
