Beebe Pond is surrounded by the Green Mountain National Forest. Motorboats are not allowed on the lake, so it is ideal for canoeing, kayaking, fishing, and swimming. Beebe Pond was the site of Camp Awanee, a summer camp for children that closed in the 1960s. It is also near the site of the Battle of Hubbardton, the only Revolutionary War battle fought entirely in Vermont.
Beebe Pond (111 acres) is a site for the Vermont LoonWatch annual survey. Birders are encouraged to volunteer as often and whenever they are able. See Join LoonWatch for details.
