Stow Marshes are a wetland area that covers about 200 acres and provides habitat for birds, amphibians, reptiles, and mammals. The marshes, adjacent to the Assabet River, are one of the few remaining examples of freshwater marshes in the region, and they play an important role in water quality, flood control, and biodiversity conservation.
