Typical power-cut species: sparrows, goldfinches, etc. The mature forest nearby offers another set of species, as woodpeckers and warblers fly over or are audible when they sing.
The entrance behind the power substation is now fenced and posted. The only way into this greenspace at this time is to park at Hillside Park (368 Caldwell Drive) and cross Caldwell Drive. Formerly a golf course, the asphalt paths are still usable but deteriorating. The owners are not mowing or maintaining, although they may be removing small trees to protect the powerlines.
The hotspot for the Caldwell Nature Preserve is nearby.
