About this Location

There are two entrances to Osborne Park. To park closer to the lakeshore, take Eaglewood Drive, which runs adjacent to the western edge of the park, and turn right into the north parking lot.

The best birding is along the top of the steep rise that parallels the lakeshore. Look for park benches along the grass-covered rise, which are great for birding or simply enjoying the vista. A scope is helpful for viewing birds here. There is also a paved pathway that starts in the parking lot and connects to the neighborhood east of the park. Also, check the small woods south of the north parking lot where some woodland species may be seen.

The 43-acre Osborne Park is located on Lakeshore Boulevard OH-283) between Eaglewood Drive and Orchard Road in Willoughby. Pedestrians can also access the western and extreme northeastern parts of the park from Eaglewood and Erie drives, respectively. Osborne Park features many active-use recreational amenities, including a baseball field, football field, soccer fields, basketball and tennis courts, playground equipment, a swimming pool with waterslides, a sand volleyball court, and a disc golf course. A 1,400-foot walking path leads from the main parking lot toward Lake Erie. The re-graded two-tiered bluff gently slopes to a beach that is protected by a zigzagging seawall. Fishing is permitted. Additional amenities at Osborne Park include picnic shelters, a bathhouse, a concession stand, and benches overlooking the lake.

Osborne Park is managed by the City of Willoughby Parks Department.
