Two Glaciers Park features 304 acres of land surrounding Clear Creek, Ohio’s second-fastest flowing creek. The park gets its name from its location as the terminus of the southeasterly flow of the last great glaciers to cover Ohio: the Wisconsinan and the Illinoian. Two Glaciers also encompasses two of Fairfield County’s historic covered bridges: the Hanaway and the Johnston, the latter being the county’s longest covered bridge still on its original abutments.
Although Two Glaciers Park is currently under development, visitors are welcome to visit the Johnston and Hanaway Covered Bridges. Future plans for Two Glaciers include trails for nature walks, birding, picnicking facilities, kayaking on Clear Creek, and guided tours and programming that focus on the area’s geological and glacial history.
Parking is available at the Johnston Covered Bridge, on Clear Creek Road, SW.
