Lots of Bald Eagles nesting in area.  Owl nesting boxes are present.  Swallows nest under the bridge.

About this Location

Towpath Park is located on East Harrison Street at White Street. The Towpath walking trail runs along the banks of the Maumee River with wonderful views of the river and fishing access. An excellent viewing place for the Annual July 3rd Maumee-Perrysburg Fireworks Display at Fort Meigs. At its west end, Towpath Park connects to Side Cut Metropark where you can walk around the ruins of a lock.  There are lock ruins at the east end of Towpath Park closer to Audubon Island.

Notable Trails

Can walk from White Street along river trail and connect to Sidecut trails under the bridge and view swallow nests under the bridge.
