About this Location

Kingswood Park is an abandoned golf course, formerly called Kingswood Golf Course. It has been maintained by Deerfield Township for the last decade or so. There were plans to develop this property and those of us who use this green space have formed a group called “Friends of Kingswood Park” to keep it as an official park.

The southern end has been kept mowed and has many mature trees, while the northern end hasn’t been mowed and it is now nice scrubby habitat. There are also a couple of good-sized ponds on the property. There are lots of birds feeding and nesting here.

Kingswood Park offers a peaceful walking trail and towering trees to enjoy while walking a dog or getting exercise. This former golf course is used for a community garden, cyclocross bicycle race, and is open to the general public for their enjoyment.
