Tips for Birding

Two small reservoirs and a village park are set in a rural and agricultural setting. The upper reservoir is usually productive in migration for diving ducks and grebes. The tree line along the north edge can be productive in spring for warblers. Check the south and far east sides of the property in the summer for Meadowlarks and Savannah and Vesper Sparrows

About this Location

The Village of McComb is very fortunate to have one of the best public parks in Hancock County. The Park is located on the east side of the Village on OH-186.

There are four baseball fields. One batting cage, a newly constructed zero-entry swimming pool with a splash pad and water toys and two water slides, two tennis courts, a basketball court, and five shelter houses for public use at no charge. The two reservoirs are located at the park for public fishing and sledding in the winter. Ice fishing is not permitted. Boats with electric motors are permitted.

The Village has installed a one-mile walk and fitness trail that winds its way from the front of the park around the base of both reservoirs to the back of the park. There is also an additional bike and walking path. The trail has trees and park benches installed for public use.

An 18-hole Disc Golf course has been installed at the rear of the park to be enjoyed by many.
