About this Location

Only a very small portion of Pleasant Creek in in Benton County. This small portion has a mix of timber and open areas. This is a public hunting area.

From Shellsburg take 33 Ave North after about 1 mile you encounter the perimeter of Pleasant Creek on your right. You can drive another mile North to 62nd Street. Turn right and drive about 0.5 miles. The park is on your right, but soon you are entering Linn County.

Notable Trails

A trail for the southside of the lake is accessible from the Strawn Road access. You will need to hike about one-half mile before entering the Benton County section.
