Official WebsitePark in the main north parking lot of Foundation Park. There are several access points to the trail east of the parking lot. These entrances join a loop trail that is a half-mile loop through the forest bordering the river, which contains typical forest birds for the area.
The riparian block in this park also hosts some more unusual species, including Barred Owl, Northern Parula Warblers, and American Redstarts.
The Thomas J. Evans Foundation Park, the City’s largest park, is an active park that can be accessed from McIntosh Road, John Reese Parkway, and Bent Tree Lane. Foundation Park encompasses nearly 78 acres, 22 of which is wooded. In its preliminary stage, Foundation Park is also now boasting a 1.4-mile mulch topped walking trail that encompasses the entire park and wooded area.
