The Assabet River Blue and Green Trail connects the towns of Acton and Maynard. It offers opportunities for hiking, biking, fishing, and paddling along the scenic Assabet River. The trail has a kayak launch at Ice House Landing in Maynard, which is accessible by the Assabet River Rail Trail. The trail also has a boardwalk with an observation platform and a bench near the historic Powder Mill dam site in Acton.

The trail is about one mile long and crosses the town line at the Maynard wastewater treatment plant outfall pipe, where clean water flows into the river.
