Combination of state and county agencies coordinate access and use of a lake and an associated park on north side. Approximately 1 mile south of Minnesota border between Dogwood Avenue and Finch Avenue. North access is off 500th Street, south access is off Silver Lake Road.
Shallow Lake primarily used for fishing. Silver Lake Marsh (DNR) wetlands lead into Silver Lake from the north. Also on the north side, a small forested park. This is a public hunting area.
