The early morning is the best time for the many songbirds lurking along the bush and tree edges of the campground and the large flocks of migrating Sandhill Cranes and Snow Geese passing overhead.
Bosque Birdwatcher’s RV Park is only a few hundred yards from the border of Bosque Del Apache Wildlife Refuge.
At 4515 feet elevation, the property is a mix of Chihuahuan desert and Pinyon-Juniper flora. Bordered to the east by NM-1 (the access from the north to the Bosque Del Apache Refuge) and to the south, the Wildlife Refuge itself. The west and northern boundaries consist of mainly mesquite and sagebrush to the north, and of junipers, pinyon pine, and cottonwoods, plus 30 or so pecan trees between the campground and the NM-1 road to the Refuge.
