About this Location

Auburndale Park has a wide variety of attractions including river frontage (with ice skating in winter), fields, wooded areas, ball fields, basketball and tennis courts, horseshoe pits, a 1.3-mile life course with exercise stations, a children’s playground, picnic tables, and grills.

Forest Grove is a 2.6-acre peninsula connecting to the Auburndale Park trail. This area has a picturesque view of Mt. Feake cemetery across the Charles River, where bald eagles have been spotted in winter. Open woods invite nature study, picnicking, bird watching, and fishing. Woerd Avenue boat launch is nearby.

Flowed Meadow Conservation Area is an adjacent 28-acre parcel, much of which is wetlands. It has a kettle hole containing a vernal pool.
