The Athens campus of Ohio University provides a beautiful setting for its students, faculty, and staff to study, work, and live. But the campus holds more than just classrooms, residence halls, and offices. In many ways, it holds the university’s history as well.

Owned by Ohio University, The Ridges is the name given to the 700-acre complex that is the site of the former Athens Lunatic Asylum and its grounds, which included a working farm.
