Newmarket, New Hampshire 03857
Newmarket Town Landing is a boat launch on Upper Narrows and Moonlight Brook in Newmarket. It has a history of shipbuilding dating back to the 18th century when prominent shipwrights such as Edward Taylor, George Hilton, William Coffin, and General James Hill worked on the shores of Great Bay. The town landing was a place where lumber and shooks were shipped to the West Indies. Some of the relics of the shipbuilding era include iron rings, sawpits, and the Moody Parsonage, which was owned by General Hill.
