Improved Machinery Pond is a reservoir that was created in 1893 by the Improved Machinery Company, which used the water power to operate its textile machinery. The pond covers an area of 18 acres and has a maximum depth of 12 feet. There is a boat ramp and a parking lot on the south shore of the pond. The pond is managed by the Nashua Parks and Recreation Department, which maintains the water quality and the surrounding parkland.

Improved Machinery Pond is in the Joyce Park Sanctuary west of the Merrimack River.
