The best views of the lake are from the sidewalk along Silver Lake Boulevard on the south and north ends of the lake. Only the north and the south ends of the lake are without homes, and both the north and the south ends of the lake provide good views from their respective sidewalks. On the south end of the lake along Kent Road, OH-59, the sidewalk passes tight up against the lake and is a boardwalk for a bit of its length. However, you can’t park or stop along Kent Road to bird the lake from your car.

Birders can also find some good views from the sidewalk at various points along the west shore, including on the sidewalk above the private beach and docks and clubhouse of the Silver Lake Estates Park, all of which are strictly private beyond and below the sidewalk.

Please, do not venture off the sidewalk anywhere along the lake; if you do so, you will be trespassing. Parking on Silver Lake Boulevard along the west side of the lake is only allowed on one side of the street; respect all parking signs.
