West River Road (labeled County Road 89 on Google Maps) provides views of the Blanchard River. There is open water on the river in all but the most severe winters. In very late winter, this is a good waterfowl spot until the Findlay Reservoirs open up. The stormwater retention pond just north of Kohl’s Distribution Center and the oxbow located immediately east of County Road 139 should be checked in the spring for migrants.
