Donegal Cliffs Park

Tips for Birding

The park is small, but there’s a nice trail that leads through riparian woods down to the Scioto River. The river usually does not freeze here since it’s so close to the reservoir and dam. This is a great spot to check for waterfowl in very cold winters. There’s also a house at the south end of the park with an outstanding feeder setup, where Eastern Bluebirds and Pine Siskins have been seen in the winter.

About this Location

Access to the river for the general public is via the Donegal Cliffs Park. The park includes the old quarry where the stone for the buildings in old Dublin was obtained.
