About this Location

This is one of the segment that does not run along the creek. Along with pasts of the Lower Finkbine segment, this trail loops around the UI's Track and Field and Softball Complexes. This segment is 0.5 miles long connects to the Lower Finkbine segment. There is a gap going W towards the Mormon Handcart Park.
Access to the trail is off 1st Ave, just N of the RR bridge, and from Hawkins Dr. The only parking is available at the at the W end, off 1st Ave. The area is S of the of the Coralville Strip [Hwy 6], S of the University's Softball and Track Complex], and parallel and N to the railroad.
Woodland some more open areas, and a small wetland. It is unknown whether there is water and other facilities, but the there are restaurants across highway 6.
