Mascuppic Lake is a large, fertile 217-acre pond located just 1.5 miles east of the center of Tyngsborough. It has an average depth of 12 feet a maximum depth of 31 feet and is transparent to 10 feet. The waterfront is heavily developed, except for the southwestern shore, which falls within the Dracut State Forest. The lake sustains very heavy recreational usage, swimming, boating, sailing, and water-skiing, during the summer months. Bass tournaments are scheduled fairly frequently on weekends.
Boat access is through a paved ramp managed by MassWildlife located on the extreme eastern side of the lake. The parking lot is small and can only accommodate seven or eight vehicles.
