Founded by Otis (O.D.) Leach, Sunset Cemetery sits on 132 total acres of rolling hills, only 58 acres of which have been developed. The cemetery’s heart shaped pond was hand dug by Leach’s brother. The pond area offers a quiet and relaxing place to reflect on the loss of a loved one and feed the ducks and geese that visit the cemetery each year. Sunset has served the heritage of third and fourth generations of families with more than 31,000 interments.
