About this Location

County park situated along a large bend in the Little Sioux River.
From the north end of the business district in downtown Milford, take Co. Highway A-34 (a.k.a. 220th St.)2 1/2 mi. west, then turn south on winding 195th Ave. (straightens 1 mi. south to become 190th Ave for next 1/2 mi. to county park entrance.
a mix of grassland near the river, with mixed oak woodlands on the slopes and hilltops. Mixture of appropriate but generally more common bird species. One of the few places where Pileated Woodpeckers have been seen in Dickinson Co. and also has a record of a Scissor-tailed Flycatcher in the vicinity.
