Woodbine Cemetery, run by the City of Artesia, may be entered off Hermosa Drive; turn north through the gate immediately east of the railroad tracks paralleling US-285. On its west, the cemetery is separated from the railroad tracks by a dense line of evergreen trees. Many deciduous trees shade all but the southeast corner of the 40-acre partially-turfed property. Directly east of the cemetery is what looks to be an aquifer recharge, floodwater, or irrigation water storage pond, which is dry most of the year. Outside the fence delineating the north boundary lies a ditch, also generally dry.
