The Winooski Nature Trail is located in the Casavant Nature Area which provides 104 acres of exploration including forested trails, open spaces, and views along the Winooski River. Casavant is wonderful for birding, wildlife watching, walking, trail running, cross-country skiing, ultimate frisbee, and enjoying a picnic. Entrances to the Casavant Nature Area can be accessed via the end of Winooski River Walk and via East Allen Street.
