About this Location

Once the site of the Osborn Prison Honor Farm, this 172-acre park offers a diverse wildlife habit in an urban surrounding. Largely an active recreation park, there are open green spaces and soccer and baseball fields near the park entrance. Most of the park’s natural area is grassy meadows and two small woods are on the north and south sides of the park. American Bald Eagles are often seen soaring overhead.

Picnic shelters with grills and electrical service are available typically April through October for walk‐in use or reservation. The Reservations Office is in the Frost Center, located near the middle of the park. Programming and operations staff offices, as well as a meeting room and year‐round public restrooms, are also housed in the building.

Natural, recreational, and cultural history programs are held at Osborn Park for adults, families, and children.

The park is open daily, year‐round, 8 a.m. to dark. About 4 miles of natural, paved, and crushed‐stone trails are through woods and meadows and around the park perimeter pathway.
