County park on west side of river, unimproved state park on east side of river.
West side (county): From Floyd, take Quarry Road north 2 miles. East side (state): From Floyd, take U.S. 218 north 3 miles to 130th Street, then west 1 mile to Idlewild.
West side (county park) is open picnic area with trails running along narrow wooded habitat following river north. East side (state park) is deep woodlands and riparian habitat.
