Bramble Park

6300 Bramble Avenue Cincinnati, Ohio, 45227

Tips for Birding

The trails located inside of the woods are the best birding, but on top of the hill just outside of the wooded area is also a great spot to check, especially during migration.

Birds of Interest

Barred owls have been observed here on several occasions and several hawk species have also nested here. In the colder months, Brown Creepers, Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers, and Golden-crowned Kinglets can reliably be found, and in fall migration, Grey-cheeked Thrush, Hermit Thrush, Canada Warbler, Wilson's Warbler, and Blue-headed Vireo. Most notable was an Allen's Hummingbird 2021-2022 at a feeder bordering the park.

About this Location

Bramble Park is a roughly 100-acre suburban city park with a playground, baseball field, and a basketball court in its center and surrounded by woods. There is a trail entrance with steps from the Murray Path (a neighborhood walking path) approximately where Murray Road and Belmont Street meet. There is also another entrance on Settle Street between Murray and Bramble Avenue. If using the Bramble entrance for parking, driving all the way back to the circle parking lot is recommended; there is a trail entrance located off that circle. A creek runs along the park along Homer Avenue, and from that runs a smaller stream parallel to the Murray Path. (See photos for trail entrances)
