This is a public course with unrestricted access, although it can get busy at times except during the winter when it is closed. During the winter birders can observe birds safely without being in the way of golfers; in fact then it is used as skiing, sledding, and hiking. During the warmer months, birders can bird around the clubhouse or could walk along the cart paths. Nearby Hills and Dales MetroPark on the north side off South Patterson Boulevard offers parking with sunrise-to-sunset access to the cart paths.
