About this Location

Important Bird Area.
Mixed use site, with park, picnic area, trails, canoeing, hunting.
Between Britt and Garner, turn north off U.S. 18 onto Lake. Access is about 1 mile north.
Large marshy lake edged on west by extensive woodlands.
This is a public hunting area.

Eagle Lake is used by huge flocks of waterfowl for feeding purposes during migration and also for nesting. The large marsh and woodlands are home to a variety of birdlife. In the winter, bald eagles are a common site.

Take highway 69 north to Garner. Go west 6 miles on Highway 18. Go north approximately 1 mile on Lake Avenue. Turn east into the Eagle Lake Park Entrance.(over 900 acres)
