Tips for Birding

The area with a small grove of conifers south of the entrance, the area with larger trees in the northwest corner of the cemetery, and the area along the northern edge of the cemetary bordering the avocado orchard to the north are all good to check. Obviously, be respectful of other cemetery visitors and give them their space.

Birds of Interest

Oak forest species, warblers, blackbirds.

About this Location

The cemetery gates are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. One can drive the paved access road that circles the cemetery, though more typically birders park near the office just inside the entrance and walk. In the past there has sometimes been interesting weedy/garden habitat along the southern edge of the cemetary, though currently (November 2022) that has been cleared down to bare dirt.
