This is a good place to birding at any time of year. There are ponds, a small lake, woods and restored prairie.

Birds of Interest

It's a good place to see raptors, Olive-sided Flycatcher, Wood Ducks, Red-headed Woodpeckers, migrating waterfowl, warblers and other woodland birds.

About this Location

Important Bird Area. This is a 1062 acre park with a 27 acre lake. There are many trails with different surfaces. Some trails are mowed, others paved and some are crushed gravel. A part of the loop road is closed in Winter.
