Tips for Birding

From the parking lot follow the exercise path up to the base of the foothill looking through the eucalyptus trees for warblers, orioles, tanagers, woodpeckers, and other migrant passerines. Depending on the time of year, these eucalyptus trees will produce white and pink blossoms that will attract hummingbirds. Several trees in the park show sap wells, indicating sapsucker use. Migration and winter are good times to visit.

Birds of Interest

Spring migrants, resident bird species, and potentially wintering rare birds.
